Terms of Service
Last updated June 5, 2026
These are the terms for using Daylot. We've kept them short and readable. By using the app, you're agreeing to them.
Using Daylot
Daylot is a personal daily task app for your own use. You're welcome to use it for planning your days however suits you. We'll keep improving it, which means features may change over time.
Your account
Keep your sign-in method secure, since it's the key to your account.
Please remember your encryption passphrase, and keep it somewhere safe.It protects your tasks so that only you can read them — which also means it is the only way in. We never see it and cannot reset it, so if it's lost, your encrypted data cannot be recovered by us or by anyone else. There is no backdoor, by design.
Playing fair
Please don't use Daylot to break the law, infringe on others, or try to interfere with the service or other people's accounts. That's really the only ask.
Subscriptions
Daylot comes with a free trial, after which it's a simple paid subscription. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. You can cancel anytime, and you'll keep access through the period you've already paid for. If pricing ever changes, we'll let you know in advance.
Your content is yours
Everything you create in Daylot belongs to you. We only ask for the limited permission needed to store and sync it so the app can do its job. We don't claim ownership of your work.
The practical bits
We work hard to keep Daylot reliable, but like any software it's provided “as is.” To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or incidental damages. You can stop using Daylot and delete your account whenever you like, and we may suspend accounts that misuse the service.
Updates
If these terms change in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use Daylot means you're okay with the current version.
